IMRO Rwanda is deeply committed to combating HIV/AIDS through a multifaceted approach aimed at prevention, support, and advocacy. Our initiatives include extensive community outreach to educate both the general public and Key populations about HIV transmission and prevention methods, alongside school-based programs focusing on safe sexual practices. We provide accessible and confidential HIV testing services with pre-and post-test counselling, ensuring individuals understand their status and necessary steps regardless of the result. Additionally, we prioritise access to prevention tools such as condoms, lubricants, and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for high-risk populations. Through support groups and linkages to care and treatment services, we offer vital emotional and medical support to people living with HIV/AIDS. We aim to reduce stigma and improve access to healthcare services by advocating for supportive policies and collaborating with government and non-governmental organisations. Our dedication extends to research and innovation, utilising data to enhance programs and address emerging challenges. Ultimately, IMRO Rwanda’s comprehensive efforts strive to reduce new HIV infections significantly, support those affected, and contribute to ending the HIV epidemic while improving the overall quality of life for individuals impacted by the disease.
