IMRO Rwanda’s AGYW program is dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations, particularly Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), including Children of Female Sex Workers (FSWs) and Teen Mothers at high risk of HIV/AIDS infection. These beneficiaries often face economic hardships and lack of support, leading to school dropouts and increased vulnerability to HIV/AIDS. The program aims to reduce HIV/AIDS incidence through education and health interventions, prevent school dropouts, and promote educational attainment. Major interventions include economic empowerment through vocational training, engagement through educational programs on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), awareness campaigns on HIV/AIDS prevention, and peer education initiatives that foster a safer, healthier, and more empowered community for AGYW. These interventions collectively create a supportive environment, emphasising sustainable economic independence and long-term well-being while addressing the systemic issues contributing to vulnerability.
