The Ihorere Munyarwanda Organization (IMRO) continued its mission in the fiscal year 2022/2023 to enhance socio-economic development, health, and human rights in Rwanda. IMRO focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and HIV prevention through a human rights-based approach. The report highlights significant achievements in HIV prevention and care, targeting key populations such as Female Sex Workers (FSWs), Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), Transgenders, and Injecting Drug Users (IDUs).The report also details IMRO’s collaborative efforts with various partners to advance SRHR advocacy and sensitization, particularly through the “Fostering Collaboration to Amplify CSOs Contribution in the Realization of SRHR in Rwanda” project, supported by AmplifyChange.
IMRO Rwanda continued its mission in the fiscal year 2023/2024 to enhance socio-economic development, health, and human rights in Rwanda, with a strong focus on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and HIV prevention through a human rights-based approach. Significant achievements were made in HIV prevention and care, targeting key populations such as Female Sex Workers (FSWs), Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), Transgenders. In addition, IMRO launched two new projects: one focused on harm reduction to mitigate health and social impacts among people who use drugs, and another titled “Enabling Environment for Accessing SRHR Information and Services among Adolescents in Rwanda,” aimed at expanding access to essential SRHR information and services for adolescents. These initiatives reflect IMRO’s continued commitment to promoting health and human rights across Rwanda.
